At TS Bank we believe that a community is only as strong as its local businesses. That is why we have made it one of our top priorities to spotlight local businesses in Southwest, Iowa. We are excited to kick off this new blog segment with Silos, located in Treynor, Iowa.

Silos, a bar and grill, located at 4 W. Main St., recently had its grand opening on April 1, 2016. TS Bank teamed up with owners Zac and Katie Gradoville to answer any question you might have and more! 

Tell us about yourselves. 
I (Zac Gradoville) am a graduate of St. Albert in Council Bluffs and played football and basketball at Midland University in Fremont, Neb. Before working at Silos I spent many years in food/beverage industry, and was most recently working at TD Ameritrade.  

Katie is a Lewis Central graduate and went to nursing school at the University of Iowa. She is currently a nurse at the Nebraska Medical Center in addition to working at Silos.  

We have a 2-year-old son, named Cooper, and recently welcomed our daughter, Dawsyn, into the world this past February. We currently reside in Council Bluffs. 

How many employees do you have? 
We currently employ almost 20 employees.  

Why did you want to start a business in Treynor, Iowa? 
I have many friends and acquaintances from Treynor that were very supportive of us opening up the restaurant here in town. We really enjoy the small town atmosphere and the pride the people take in their community. Every great small town needs to have some great places to go eat and hang out. That has been our goal from day one, to be able to provide that experience to our community.   

What services do you offer? 
We are a full service bar and grill. We are currently renovating our party room. This will allow you to have a private space for parties, banquets and events as well. The party room will be a great addition to the community.  

Could you describe the menu? What is your signature item? 
From the beginning stages, we have strived to keep it simple, but have a few unique items as well. Our current menu offers burgers, Philly’s, wraps and salads. We will be coming out with a pizza menu this spring and also a temporary summer menu as well.  

Our signature item is our Silos Burger. It is a half-pound patty with American cheese, bacon, onion strings, and our melted Monterey Jack cheese sauce.   

Are you open to suggestions? 
We are always open to suggestions and feedback, whether good or bad. If you don't tell us the problem, we can't fix it! If there is something you would like to have, let us know and we'll see if it is something we can add!
